Systems Verification and Validation Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
As a Systems Verification and Validation Engineer at Raytheon Technologies, you will be responsible for working closely with system and software engineering teams to provide verification testing of military radios. You will thrive on tackling challenges, using problem-solving skills and an action-oriented mindset to address problems and contribute to project goals.
What You Will Do:
- Identify project and product risks and escalate using the project's defined processes.
- Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to the product, process, and quality system.
- Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels.
- Participate in major reviews throughout the lifecycle, including preliminary design review, critical design review, and test readiness review, as well as participating in peer reviews.
- Make adjustments or recommended enhancements to systems and processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of a job area.
- Perform systems analysis to derive function, performance, and interface requirements to satisfy the system requirements.
- Perform system design activities, including trade studies, to ensure that the system architecture is compatible with the baselined product and is consistent across all subsystems, meeting the system level performance requirements.
- Support technical risk analysis as required and plan, document, and execute integration, verification, and validation activities.

Qualifications:
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.
- Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- Must have or be capable of obtaining/maintaining an active U.S. Government security clearance at the Secret level or higher.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Microsoft Office, including Work and Excel, and Microsoft Project, or other scheduling software.
- Experience with inventory control and process improvement.
- Introductory knowledge of Systems Engineering Standards (EIA-632 or ISO/IEC 15288).
- Systems engineering methodology, tools, and procedures knowledge.
