Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our team in Juncos, PR. This role involves designing manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining, and material handling.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Designing efficient and productive layouts for machinery within plant facilities;
  • Specifying procedures for tool fabrication and other functions affecting product performance;
  • Adapting machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions;
  • Developing manufacturing processes applicable to statistical process control;
  • Inspiring corrective action to ensure product quality;

Our ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience in an engineering position in a medical device environment, with a degree in Engineering and knowledge of project management principles.

Deliver Projects

This role requires delivering projects from design to implementation while adhering to policies. The successful candidate must have advanced knowledge of their job area and strong communication skills to collaborate with senior internal and external customers and vendors.

Mentorship

The Manufacturing Process Engineer may act as a mentor to colleagues or direct the work of lower-level professionals. They must demonstrate leadership and talent management skills by guiding, coaching, and training others within the job area.

Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of job area combining breadth and depth typically obtained through education and experience;
  • Practical knowledge of project management;
  • Strong analytical skills with problem-solving methodology knowledge;
  • Able to develop and implement new processes and technologies;
  • Effective time management and organizational skills;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Certifications such as Yellow/Green Belt a plus;
