Medical Transcriptionist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Clerk Ed Transcrib to join our team at Ahmc Healthcare. The successful candidate will provide exceptional support to our nursing staff, patients, and families by maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, preparing and compiling reports, and ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Observe and monitor cardiac rhythms, identifying and documenting arrhythmias and responding accordingly.
• Read, interpret, and document ECG signals, maintaining good quality signals at all times.
• Maintain monitoring equipment in functional condition, notifying Biomed for repairs as needed.
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
• Input data accurately into the computer, locating and retrieving patient information as required.
• Transcribe physician orders, including medications, accurately and concisely.
• Check patient identification and ensure accurate census updates.
• Assemble patient charts, identifying forms accurately and maintaining ongoing checks for proper identification and dating.
• Order and maintain adequate supplies of patient admission charts and charting forms.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, transfers, and other tasks as required.

Requirements:

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Basic arrhythmic certification.
• Medical terminology knowledge.
• General clerical and computer skills.
• MAB certification within 90 days of hire.
