Radiant Industries is a pioneering startup developing Kaleidos, a revolutionary portable, containerized nuclear microreactor. Our innovative approach to nuclear development leverages modern software engineering to rapidly achieve safe, factory-constructable microreactors using existing, well-qualified materials.

We are seeking a highly skilled FPGA Engineer to join our Nuclear Robotics team. As a key contributor, you will design, develop, and validate FPGAs used in the reactor instrumentation and control system for safety-critical applications, sensor and actuator control, and communication systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Own the design of sensor processing systems from concept to integration.
  • Implement logic designs in VHDL.
  • Integrate designs onto FPGA/SoC platforms.
  • Write automated verification tests.
  • Work directly with embedded software engineers to deliver complete products.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, or related STEM field.
  • 5+ years of experience working with FPGAs.
  • Knowledge of VHDL.
  • Experience troubleshooting timing closure issues.
  • Experience with multi-clock designs.
  • Understanding of verification methodologies and frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with embedded C/C++.
  • Experience with Linux and bash shell scripting.
  • Experience with Docker.
  • Excellent documentation skills and ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary environments.
