We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Senior Associate to join our Tax team at Geometric. As a Tax Senior Associate, you will play a critical role in providing tax services to our clients, working closely with our Wealth Advisors and Financial Planning team to deliver exceptional results.
Responsibilities:- Prepare and review federal and state returns, as well as any associated gift tax returns, trust returns, etc.
- Assess the need for quarterly estimated tax payments and ensure all necessary payments are made by our clients.
- Assist clients with tax letters, notices, and audits, including drafting responses and communicating with the IRS and various state Departments of Revenue.
- Collaborate with Tax Advisors to produce and review tax projections and tax planning for a subset of our clients.
- Perform and review wage and withholding analyses to help clients achieve their preferred level of tax withholding.
- Bachelor's degree
- Active CPA license or EA credential strongly preferred
- 1-4 years of relevant work experience in tax services, particularly tax return preparation and compliance
- Clear and confident communication, both in writing and orally
