Job Summary
The United States Secret Service is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Criminal Investigator to join our team. As a Special Agent, you will be responsible for conducting complex investigations and providing protection for high-ranking government officials and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough investigations into financial crimes and other complex cases
- Provide protection for protectees, including dignitaries and their families
- Participate in security designs for National Special Security Events
- Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies to share intelligence and best practices
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship is required
- Must possess a current valid driver's license
- Must obtain a Top Secret Clearance and retain it during your career
- Must meet physical fitness standards
Qualifications
- Minimally qualified for the GL-07 Level: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with superior academic achievement, or at least one full year of graduate level education, or at least 1 year of specialized experience in investigative methods, protective methods, and law enforcement techniques
- Minimally qualified for the GL-09 Level: Master's or equivalent graduate degree, or two full years of progressively higher graduate education, or at least 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GL-7 level
- Minimally qualified for the GS-11 Level: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education, or at least 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GL-9 level
