Bakery Associate

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Baker to join our team at Big Y. As a Baker, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality baked goods and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries, and other baked goods

• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the bakery area and surrounding areas

• Provide a positive and welcoming experience for customers, responding to their needs and answering questions about products

• Collaborate with management to achieve sales goals and ensure operational efficiency

• Train on new products and procedures as needed, sharing knowledge and expertise with colleagues

• Maintain inventory and order supplies as assigned, ensuring adequate stock and minimizing waste

• Operate and maintain equipment and machinery, cleaning and performing routine maintenance as needed

• Work effectively as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines to achieve overall goals

• Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to company policies and procedures

Requirements

• Previous experience in a bakery or related food service environment preferred

• Ability to represent Big Y's values and mission, demonstrating a passion for food and customer service

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed

• Ability to learn and utilize computer applications for inventory management and other tasks

• Must be 18 years of age or older
