Polysomnography Technologist III Job Description

Job Title: Polysomnography Technologist III

Job Summary: Nationwide Children's Hospital is seeking a skilled Polysomnography Technologist III to join our esteemed team. As a vital member of our Sleep Disorders Center, you will be responsible for performing complex polysomnographic procedures on patients with suspected sleep disorders.

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform polysomnographic procedures on patients with suspected sleep disorders
  2. Prepare patients for testing, perform studies, and collect pertinent information for test results
  3. Responsible for patients in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) alongside EMU technicians
  4. Must demonstrate competence in age-appropriate care for patients from birth to 21 and selected adult patients
  5. Assist in the Sleep Clinic, coordinating patient, physician, psychologist, and facility scheduling

Requirements:

  • High school graduate
  • Current CPR certificate
  • Current OH license in Respiratory Care
  • One year experience in Polysomnography
  • Registry Eligible for BRPT exam
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved two-year Respiratory Therapy Program
  • Valid respiratory credential (CRT or RRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • One year Critical Care experience
