Facilities Maintenance Specialist

• Conduct work in accordance with established Health and Safety regulations, assessing risks associated with tasks and executing general repair work on buildings, mechanical, electrical systems, and equipment.
• Work under supervision, following verbal instructions to perform skilled repairs on facilities systems.
• Ensure the upkeep of interior spaces through painting and decorating, maintaining a safe and aesthetically pleasing environment.
• Diagnose problems and provide recommendations for resolution.
• Repair and replace damaged parts and equipment, such as sanitary devices and kitchen equipment.
• Operate high-pressure water machines, generators, and portable tools safely and efficiently.
• Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and wiring diagrams to inform repairs.
• Assist with equipment movement and reinstatement as required on site.
• Evaluate the safe relocation of supplies and equipment, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

• A Technical College Degree is preferred, demonstrating expertise in facilities maintenance.
• A High school diploma with 2+ years of Facilities experience or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
