Roofing System Evaluator

About the Role

Icp Group is a leading provider of specialty coatings, adhesives, and sealants serving the construction and industrial end markets. We are seeking a skilled Roofing Inspector to join our team in Puerto Rico.

The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating the condition of roofing systems to ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and project specifications. This involves conducting thorough inspections, preparing detailed reports, and recommending corrective actions to maintain the integrity and functionality of roofing systems.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform on-site inspections of roofing systems to assess conditions, identify defects, and determine necessary repairs or replacements.
• Inspect roof installations to ensure compliance with building codes, manufacturer guidelines, and project requirements.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports, including photographs, sketches, and written documentation of findings.
• Provide recommendations for repairs, maintenance, or replacement based on inspection results.
• Verify that roofing materials and installation techniques meet quality standards.
• Monitor the progress of roofing projects to ensure adherence to timelines and specifications.
• Ensure that all inspections are conducted in compliance with occupational safety and health standards.
• Identify potential safety hazards and report them promptly.
• Communicate inspection results and findings to clients, contractors, and project managers.
• Provide technical guidance and answer questions related to roofing systems.
• Maintain accurate records of all inspections, assessments, and follow-up actions.
• Ensure timely submission of reports to relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification in roofing inspection, construction management, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in roofing, construction, or inspection roles.
• Familiarity with various roofing systems, materials, and installation techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and technical specifications.
• Proficiency with inspection tools and technology, including drones, moisture meters, and thermal imaging devices.
• Relevant certifications such as RRC (Registered Roof Consultant) or RRO (Registered Roof Observer) are a plus.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to inspection sites.
