Marine Parts Logistics Director

Job Description

Sagan Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Marine Parts Operations Manager to oversee the supply chain and inventory management for marine service operations. This role requires expertise in ordering, tracking, and maintaining inventory for repairs, as well as a deep understanding of the marine industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage inventory levels and ensure timely resupply.
• Handle warranty refunds and returns with vendors.
• Build estimates and assist technicians with information and support.
• Verify parts and labor charges before submission for billing.
• Monitor and improve department profitability and efficiency.
• Prepare detailed itemized repair estimates and transition to work orders upon customer approval.

Qualifications:

• Experience in the marine industry (particularly with pleasure craft (20-49' gas inboard or outboard engines)) or related industries.
• Knowledge of brands like Mercury, Yamaha, Honda, Evinrude/Johnson, and Suzuki is highly desirable.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Basic computer proficiency; all specialized tools will be taught.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and support technicians effectively.
