Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Azure Solutions Engineer to join our team at Insight Global. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing and deploying cloud and on-premises infrastructure solutions that meet the needs of our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead technical requirements gathering and design sessions with stakeholders to translate service and product vision into executable work.
- Design and deploy cloud and on-premises infrastructure solutions using Microsoft Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, and vSphere.
- Align solutions with business and IT strategies, and lead, delegate, monitor, and support the hands-on technical execution of work via internal and vendor-based teams.
- Research new technologies, frameworks, and tools, and secure support and approval via senior leadership and Enterprise Architecture.
- Drive proof of concept and analyze technical feasibility, project constraints, risk evaluation, and define roadmaps for infrastructure technical services.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 6 years relevant experience in engineering and/or applications development, or a high school diploma or equivalent and 8 years relevant experience.
- Experience effectively communicating with and advising non-technical senior business leaders and technical engineers as a technical subject matter expert consultant.
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks and business standards, and knowledge of service life cycle management.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure based infrastructure engineering, Docker, Kubernetes, and vSphere, and experience with performance optimization.
- Experience with Azure Blob Storage and NetApp Data storage solutions, and experience designing and building high availability and Disaster Recovery solutions.
