Purpose:
At Acadia Healthcare, we are seeking a skilled Recreational Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals through creative and engaging activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify patient needs and interests
- Develop and implement treatment plans that promote physical and emotional well-being
- Lead group and individual therapy sessions, including exercise, games, and community outings
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
- Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Recreational Therapy or related field
- Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) or equivalent certification
- Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in recreational therapy
