Pharmacy Department Head

Job Title: Pharmacy Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Manager to lead our pharmacy department at Vg's Grocery. The successful candidate will have a strong background in pharmacy operations and management, with a focus on customer service and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage all aspects of pharmacy operations, including prescriptions, inventory control, and customer service.
2. Ensure compliance with federal and state regulatory guidelines and company policies.
3. Process and oversee new and refill requests, filling prescription requests efficiently and accurately.
4. Maintain accurate and detailed records, including customer profiles, insurance forms, and pharmacy inventory.
5. Develop and implement pharmacy programs, including security measures, immunizations, and clinical services.
6. Provide leadership and guidance to pharmacy associates, promoting a positive and customer-focused store culture.
7. Meet or exceed company-established metrics for pharmacy operation, including gross and net profits, budgeted sales and payroll, and Rx counts.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or related field.
• Two years of experience as a pharmacist.
• Pharmacy License in good standing.
• Strong knowledge of HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules, pharmacy laws, and guidelines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong management, organization, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
