We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Healthcare Navigator to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service to our members and providers.
As a Healthcare Navigator, you will be responsible for providing phone support to address the needs of our members and providers. This includes using probing questions to thoroughly understand the type of assistance required, asking appropriate questions, and listening actively to identify specific questions or issues while documenting required information in computer systems.
You will also be responsible for researching complex issues across multiple databases and working with support resources to resolve member and provider issues and/or partnering with others to resolve escalated issues. Additionally, you will assist customers in navigating UnitedHealth Group websites while encouraging and reassuring them to become self-sufficient in using our tools.
Collecting relevant information, building rapport, and responding compassionately are essential skills for this role. You may also be required to contact home plan on behalf of the member/provider to assist with preauthorizations and/or confirm/verify claim/benefit information.

This role requires fluency in computer navigation and toggling while engaging in dialogue with the caller. Our training will provide you with knowledge of the various products, plans, and levels of benefits available to members, enabling you to create positive experiences and earn the gratitude of callers on an hourly basis.
Required Qualifications:- 1+ years of experience in customer service, analyzing and solving customer problems, call-center environment, or healthcare setting
- Proven intermediate Windows PC navigation proficiency or higher and ability to navigate in multiple systems
- Experience demonstrating proficient typing skills
- Available to work 40 hours/week Monday-Sunday, flexible to work any of our rotational 8-hour shift schedules during normal business hours (6:00am-11:00pm) including daylight savings changes
- Bilingual Spanish/English proficiency
The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, based on location and experience.
