Environmental Permit Specialist

As an Environmental Permit Specialist at Black & Veatch, you will play a critical role in providing environmental support for domestic and international projects. Your expertise will be essential in developing and implementing field studies, environmental assessments, and permit/license applications.
Key Responsibilities- Develop specific scopes of work and implement work plans to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Provide schedule and budgetary recommendations to clients and project managers.
- Interact with clients, agencies, and project managers to provide scientific project information and summaries.
- Evaluate contractor proposals, data, and reports to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Oversee project files to maintain document references, consultations, analytical methods, calculations, and rationales used in reaching scientific conclusions.
A minimum of 2 years' experience performing duties similar to those of an Environmental Scientist 2 is required. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements, which may include a criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search.
CertificationsWork Environment/Physical DemandsThis role will be based in a normal office environment, with occasional exposure to extreme temperatures and hazards.
CompetenciesSalary PlanThis position is part of the ENS: Eng & Technical Specialties salary plan.
Job GradeThis role is classified as Job Grade 129.
