Water Resources Engineer Opportunity

Responsibilities:

  • Perform and lead junior staff in hydrologic and hydraulic design calculations for stormwater management systems and/or bridge hydraulic and floodplain studies.
  • Coordinate with the design team to achieve environmental compliance and assist in developing permit applications.
  • Assist with planning, scheduling, and coordinating design work internally and with other disciplines.
  • Review plans, details, and prepare or review technical specifications, contract documents, and cost estimates.
  • Support and coordinate with Highway, Structural, and Geotechnical Engineer design teams and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • BS in Civil Engineering.
  • Detailed-oriented, self-starter, comfortable working in a team environment, and ability to work on multiple projects at once.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong Math Skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience with HEC-RAS, HY-8, SRH-2D, HydroCAD, Storm and Sanitary Analysis, MicroStation, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and GIS software.
  • Familiarity with FHWA, USACE, and AASHTO design guidance and New Jersey Administrative Code.
