Aviation Equipment Mechanic

Protalents is seeking a skilled Aviation Equipment Mechanic to join our team. As an Aviation Equipment Mechanic, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of Passenger Boarding Bridges (PBBs) at Carolina Airport.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on PBB systems, including electrical, hydraulic, controls, PLC, GPU, structural, and mechanical components. They will also be required to document work orders, maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively with airport personnel and supervisors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform regular inspections on bridges to evaluate, identify, correct, and document any deficiency.
• Evaluate, troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct any deficiencies reported by Airline PBB operators.
• Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance on bridges, including lubrication, cleaning, and painting as specified by manufacturers.
• Communicate constantly with AOCC to discuss Airline Operations on PBBs.
• Notify AOCC about PBBs that are not operating correctly and share information with Supervisor to establish an action plan.
• Document work using CMMS Computerized Maintenance Management System.
• Use corresponding safety equipment and comply with established safety regulations.
