We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team as a Substation Electrical Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for the detailed electrical design and project management of high voltage substation projects.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to project conceptualization, work planning, and project execution
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and solve electrical engineering issues
- Prepare reports presenting technical and project information in a clear and concise manner
- Develop your career through peer-learning and knowledge sharing
- Travel to client sites as needed
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- 2+ years of experience in Medium Voltage Power Systems design
- 1+ years of experience in substation design 138kV and above
- Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple projects under budget and time constraints
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
- Must be fully bilingual in Spanish and English
- Ability to prepare substation grounding calculations and direct stroke shielding calculations
- Physical layout and protection & controls experience
- Ability to work with designers to develop substation single line diagrams and relaying & metering diagrams
- Familiarity with ANSI/IEEE/NEMA standards as they relate to substation design
