Civilian Paramedic

The City of Mesa, AZ is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civilian Paramedic to join our Emergency Medical Services team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing advanced life support and medical transportation services to patients in emergency situations.

• Respond to medical emergencies and provide advanced life support care to patients
• Operate and administer medical equipment, including cardiac monitors, IVs, and defibrillators
• Perform medication administration, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and other advanced airway procedures
• Complete patient care reporting and transportation documentation
• Inventory, request, and stock drugs and EMS supplies and equipment
• Participate in EMS-related programs and training, as well as other department activities

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Arizona Paramedic Certification or National Registry Paramedic Certification
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certifications
• Valid Class D Arizona Driver's License
• One year of full-time Paramedic or EMT experience preferred

This position requires working in a fast-paced emergency medical services environment, with frequent exposure to stressful and traumatic situations. The successful candidate must be able to work effectively in a team environment and maintain a high level of professionalism and composure in emergency situations.
