Job Summary:

Central Ohio Primary Care is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing radiologic procedures, collaborating with healthcare teams, and ensuring quality patient care.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, explaining the process and answering questions
  • Operate radiologic equipment, using radiation protection and shielding materials as needed
  • Maintain examination rooms, stock medical and radiologic supplies, and report equipment malfunctions
  • Process routine paperwork, maintain patient confidentiality, and perform other duties as assigned


Qualifications:

  • Completion of a course in Radiologic Technology approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
  • Current certification as a Registered Radiologic Technologist
  • Current Ohio Department of Health Radiology license
  • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, radiology equipment, and safety hazards common to radiology
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, taking x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.
• Use a variety of radiation protection and shielding materials as well as various media.
• Ensure equipment is in working order and reports malfunctions to appropriate person(s).
• Process routine paperwork as necessary.
• Maintain examination rooms, stocks necessary medical and radiologic supplies.
• Attend required staff and educational meetings.
• Maintain patient confidentiality.
• Perform other duties as assigned.



Education, Licensures & Certifications:

Required: Completion of course in Radiologic Technology approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
Required: Current certification as a Registered Radiologic Technologist
Required: Current Ohio Department of Health Radiology license



Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology to perform x-ray testing
• Knowledge of radiology equipment
• Knowledge of safety hazards common to radiology including equipment, body mechanics and patient movement
• Skill in properly positioning patients as well as properly identifying equipment problems
• Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patient, medical staff, and the public
• Ability to assist patients on and off exam tables
• Ability to apply written guidelines and standardized work practices
• Ability to work on a team and display a positive attitude
• Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
• Excellent relationship building skills
