Cardinal Health seeks a skilled Hospital Pharmacy Professional to join our team as a clinical consultant. In this role, you will provide customized pharmacy program solutions that reduce costs and improve patient care quality for hospitals and health systems.
About the Role
This position requires a strong background in hospital pharmacy operations, with a minimum of 2+ years of experience in similar roles. You will work closely with healthcare teams to promote evidence-based practices and optimize medication use. Your expertise will help develop and implement effective strategies to improve patient outcomes and streamline pharmacy operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance on pharmacy operations, including staffing, inventory management, and workflow optimization.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to identify areas for improvement and implement evidence-based solutions.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including physicians, nurses, and pharmacists.
- Analyze data and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of implemented solutions and make recommendations for further improvements.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices to ensure compliance and excellence in pharmacy operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in pharmacy or related field required.
- Active license to practice pharmacy in Puerto Rico required.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in hospital pharmacy operations preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, with ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Fluency in English and Spanish required.
