Class A CDL Driver

We are seeking a Class A CDL driver to join our delivery team. This role will involve operating tractor trailers to deliver materials to businesses, while ensuring safety procedures are followed and accurate log books are maintained.

Responsibilities

• Ensure mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order
• Check truck before driving and secure cargo for transport
• Follow all safety procedures for transporting goods
• Maintain accurate log books in accordance with DOT and company standards
• Operate tractor trailers to deliver materials to businesses
• Strap/unstrap material and open/close trailer at each stop
• Load material using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
• Obtain delivery receipts or signatures from customers and collect payments

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of recent driving experience in a commercial motor vehicle
• Class A CDL with authorization to drive manual truck
• Satisfactory criminal history and motor vehicle records
• Satisfactory PSP and DOT Clearinghouse reports
• Acceptable pre-hire DOT drug screening
• Ability to obtain a new medical card
• Ability to routinely back a tractor trailer into tight spaces
• Ability to use forklift, pallet jack, and hand truck
• Compliance with all company policies and applicable DOT standards
• Ability to provide high-quality customer service
• Ability to work overtime as business dictates
