About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Director to join our team at Ascend Charter Schools. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our students, staff, and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective safety and security protocols to prevent and respond to incidents
  • Supervise and train senior security supervisors to maintain a safe and secure environment
  • Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Conduct regular site surveys to identify potential safety risks and implement corrective actions
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance staff knowledge and skills in safety and security
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in law enforcement or security
  • 5+ years of experience in a security or law enforcement role, preferably in an educational setting
  • Valid NYS security guard license
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
