**Job Summary**
The Mount Carmel Health team is seeking a skilled Cook to join our food services department. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals to our patients and staff.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Coordinate and implement menus to meet the dietary needs of our patients and staff.
- Direct activities of food service workers to ensure efficient meal preparation and service.
- Clean and inspect kitchen equipment and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
- Take inventory of food and supplies to ensure adequate stock levels.
- Work with food service leadership to ensure compliance with quality standards, cost parameters, and regulatory requirements.
**Requirements:**
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in the culinary field preferred.
- Two or more years of experience in food service, preferably in an institutional setting.
- ServSafe certification or similar food safety certification, where required by the state or facility.
