Telemetry Technician

We are seeking a skilled Telemetry Technician to join our team at Select Specialty Hospital - Columbus South. As a Telemetry Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of patient care by continuously monitoring and interpreting cardiac rhythms and vital signs.

• Continuously watch and ensure appropriate and timely responses to alarms on EKG monitors.
• Verify correct identification of basic rhythms, lethal rhythms, and artifact.
• Maintain EKG monitor alarms and respond to all alarms as needed.
• Observe all monitors assigned and respond to alarms promptly and appropriately.
• Complete EKG interpretations, including rate, regularity, PRI, QRS, QTI, QTc, ST segment, waveform alterations, and rhythm interpretation.
• Ensure strip interpretations are validated by RN.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred background as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Licensed Paramedic, or RN nursing student with EKG training.
