Patient Transporter

We are seeking a skilled Patient Transporter to join our team at Nationwide Children's Hospital. As a Patient Transporter, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting patients, medical equipment, and patient-related items to their destinations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Transport patients between departments and to/from patient care areas via wheelchair, wagon, crib, bed, stretcher, and other transport equipment.
• Ensure patient safety by following established procedures and using only approved rolling equipment.
• Respond to transport requests with a sense of urgency, meeting time delivery goals.
• Maintain patient charts during transport and ensure confidentiality of patient information at all times.
• Collect and return various types of equipment to proper staging/storage locations.
• Disinfect and clean transport equipment before and after each patient use and as required.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to navigate to/from various locations throughout the facility.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to think quickly in cases of emergencies or unusual situations.
• Physical ability to withstand frequent to prolonged walking, standing, pushing, pulling, and transferring patients.
