Microbiologist Specialist

Abbott Laboratories Company is seeking a highly skilled Microbiologist Specialist to join our team at the Columbus Plant. As a key member of the quality team, you will be responsible for implementing food safety and sanitation policies, procedures, and training across the plant.

• Develop and implement holistic plant sanitation and microbiology programs, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as food safety policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with facility supervisors, operations leadership, and site cleaning crews to achieve desired environmental monitoring performance and pest control performance.
• Evaluate facility sanitary conditions, assess risk based on food safety and public health principles, and prioritize corrective actions.

• Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Bacteriology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the nutrition, food, or allied industry.
• Minimum 5 years of supervisory management experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience working in a regulated FDA/GMP environment.
