Job Summary

The IT Tech Administrative Assistant role provides administrative and technical support to the IT department at Columbus State Community College. This position assists with basic IT support tasks, maintains equipment inventories, and handles administrative duties related to IT services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to staff, including troubleshooting computer issues and resetting passwords.
  • Maintain and organize IT equipment inventory, ensuring hardware and software are properly logged and tracked.
  • Help set up and configure computers, printers, and other office equipment for new employees or office relocations.
  • Document and track technical support requests, ensuring timely resolutions.
  • Support the IT team in managing software licenses, hardware repairs, and vendor communications.
  • Assist with creating user guides and training materials for staff on IT systems and software.
  • Perform data entry, organize files, and maintain records related to IT service requests and equipment management.
Requirements
  • Federal Work Study eligibility as part of current Financial Aid package with Columbus State.
  • Enrolled in six or more credit hours in a degree or certificate program.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, and exempt from Ohio Revised Code Chapter 4109.
  • Reliable transportation or other means to get to work regularly.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience working in an IT or tech support role.
  • Knowledge of operating systems (Windows), networking basics, and common office software.
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus.
