Sports Turf Estimator

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our sports construction team. As an Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for various projects, including natural turf, synthetic turf, and track & field construction.

Key Responsibilities
• Attend pre-bid and site visits as required.
• Review project documentation, including bid solicitations, requests for proposals, geotechnical reports, plans, and specifications.
• Complete quantity take-offs for self-performed and subcontracted scopes of work.
• Solicit and evaluate bids from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Assemble project estimates according to all documents and specifications.
• Provide innovative solutions to complex issues related to cost, lead-times, subcontractors, and specified products or materials.
• Prepare detailed estimates and develop variance summaries between estimates and value engineering studies.
• Create a complete presentation-worthy estimate package that clearly communicates project cost.

Requirements
• 3-5 years of experience in natural turf, synthetic turf, and track & field construction estimating.
• Ability to identify, adapt to, and resolve complex issues.
• Civil construction knowledge (grading, drainage, concrete, and asphalt) and athletic field experience (fencing, natural turf, synthetic turf, and track & field).
• Proficient with computer software programs, including MS Office, HCSS HeavyBid, and On-Screen Takeoff.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
