Key Responsibilities:

Support the Controllers in maintaining accurate financial and accounting records for the dealership.

Provide timely and accurate information to facilitate smooth operations and maximize profit.

Key Accountabilities:

  1. Assist in overseeing the operation of the Business Office to ensure efficient and accurate staff performance.
  2. Automate systems and establish controls to optimize operations.
  3. Review schedules and accounts daily for accuracy.
  4. Monitor work in process and sublet schedules for accuracy.
  5. Perform payroll tasks.
  6. Onboard new hires with system set-ups and maintain employee records.
  7. Maintain vacation records and accruals.
  8. Help hire, train, and motivate Business Office staff for accurate task completion.
  9. Work closely with factories on incentives, rebates, or co-op programs for prompt payment.
  10. Assist in processing accounts receivable/payable and clearing schedules.
  11. Prepare daily cash reports and reconcile cash daily.
  12. Reconcile vendor statements to payable checks.
  13. Reconcile schedules monthly prior to month-end.
  14. Implement proactive accounts payable systems for positive cash flow.
  15. Monitor accounting entries for accuracy.
  16. Interpret and analyze financial statements.
  17. Prepare tax reports, deposits, and returns in a timely manner.
  18. Maintain and post monthly standard entries.
  19. Stay updated on office functions, including mail distribution, phone support, correspondence, and copier support.
  20. Assist in controlling departmental expenses and reviewing expense trend reports.
