Warehouse Loader

Overview:

KeHE Distributors is seeking a detail-oriented and physically capable Warehouse Loader to join our team. As a Warehouse Loader, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient loading of customer orders onto trucks, while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Organize the loading dock and load customer orders accurately per route sequence and dispatch time.
• Operate powered industrial trucks equipped with lifting devices, such as forklifts or hand jacks, to manipulate product.
• Take inventory of materials on the loading dock and ensure that all product is accurately staged, properly stacked, and appropriately shrink-wrapped.
• Determine the appropriate loading configuration, taking into account stop orders, product mix, and routing, to ensure maximum cube utilization.
• Load product into trucks on pallets or by hand stacking or a combination thereof, ensuring that the method of loading prohibits damage in transit.
• Check for frozen perishable product on the cooler dock and merge with the correct order.
• Ensure all non-food items are also loaded, including pallet jacks, display racks, and mail.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience working in a warehouse environment.
• Previous experience operating powered industrial equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and stock pickers.
• OSHA Forklift Certification strongly preferred.

Must be able to carry, lift, and/or move up to 75 pounds. The associate is required to sit. The associate is frequently required to stand, walk, and climb. While performing the duties of this position, the associate is subject to a warehouse environment where temperatures can vary from very cool to very warm. The associate is also exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise levels in the work environment are typically low to moderate.
