Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of novel algorithms and modeling techniques to advance the state of the art with LLMs and multi-modal systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement large-scale AI systems.
- Conduct research and development to improve the performance and efficiency of LLMs and multi-modal systems.
- Develop and maintain high-quality software components and tools to support AI research and development.
- Publish research papers in top-tier conferences and journals.
About the Team:
The AGI team has a mission to push the envelope in LLMs and multimodal systems. Specifically, we focus on model alignment with an aim to maintain safety while not denting utility, in order to provide the best-possible experience for our customers.
Qualifications:
- PhD, or Master's degree and 5+ years of applied research experience.
- 5+ years of building machine learning models for business application experience.
- Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language.
- Experience with neural deep learning methods and machine learning.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $150,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $260,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
