Quality Technician Job Description

Job Purpose: We are seeking a skilled Quality Technician to join our team at Labchems Corp. in the Jayuya Plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing microbiological sampling and testing to ensure product release, control, and protocol adherence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct microbiological sampling and testing for product release, control, and protocols as needed following company specifications and SOPs.
  • Perform environmental testing, including water, room air, compressed air, nitrogen, and surfaces.
  • Test for Bacterial Endotoxin, Bioburden, Particle Matter, and microbial ingress.
  • Support laboratory and production product sterilization autoclave qualification studies.
  • Perform sampling and testing activities related to Jayuya Plant and Laboratory Water Systems.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science (Microbiology, Biology, Medical Technology, or Biotechnology preferred).
  • One to two years of previous related experience in a GMP regulated environment is preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate, read, write, and understand English/Spanish languages.
  • Knowledge of PC Microsoft – Office Software.

Working Conditions: This is a temporary position, and the employee will be required to use various laboratory equipment, including Spectrophotometer, Centrifuge, Autoclave, Particle Counter, and Microscope.
