Aerial Foreman

MasTec Communications Group is seeking an experienced Aerial Foreman to lead our utility construction team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing all phases of utility construction for various telecom projects.

• Install and/or repair aerial CATV, coaxial and fiber cable
• Place, relocate and remove poles, lines, open-wire, drop and block wire to maintain efficient operation of customers' facilities
• Set up a safety perimeter using signage, cones, and safety barriers
• Review project plans, specifications, and installation instructions to ensure projects are built according to approved design specifications
• Direct activities on the job site and properly fill out necessary documentation
• Communicate with Area Supervisors or Managers and act as lead for in-house crews
• Oversee daily schedules, delivery schedules, and daily productivity of the Aerial crew

• 3+ years of experience in telecommunications construction
• Knowledge of telecom construction industry, including Coax Splicing, Fiber Splicing, Directional Drilling, Aerial and Underground Construction
• OSHA 10 training, CPR, and Flagging certification
• Ability to operate a digger Derek truck and lift up to 70 lbs.
• Comfortable working in a bucket truck and climbing poles
• Strong knowledge of CATV building practices and CTV/Aerial field equipment
