Job Summary

Unhooked Recovery is seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Paraprofessional to join our team. As a key member of our clinical team, you will provide adult patient supervision in a treatment/educational milieu, assisting in the maintenance of a safe and secure environment that enhances treatment and/or educational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide screening, assessment, treatment planning, life skills, wellness, and prevention activities to residents and clients
  • Contribute to a recovery-based environment and play a significant role in providing input, treatment, and coordination for physical health, wellness, and prevention
  • Assist in progressive programmatic development using an integrative model of care, considering both behavioral and physical health issues
  • Provide individual or group counseling services to residents and clients
  • Participate in crisis intervention and make administrative and procedural decisions and judgments on sensitive, confidential issues
Requirements
  • Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques
  • Ability to interact with patients, faculty, and/or staff in a team environment
  • Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards
  • Ability to assess and provide for the day-to-day needs of mentally, emotionally, and/or developmentally disabled patients
  • Ability to safely lift and physically manipulate patients
  • Ability to communicate and interact with mental health professionals in a team environment
