Job Description:

Role Overview: As an Occupational Therapist at Soar Autism Center, you will implement naturalistic occupational therapy for children aged 2-6 years in a center-based setting, with a focus on autism. You will craft interventions aimed at improving gross motor, fine motor skills, feeding practices, and daily living activities tailored to the needs of children with autism. You will work closely with families to develop individualized therapy plans, setting ambitious goals that empower children to reach their full potential.

Responsibilities:

• Implement naturalistic occupational therapy for children aged 2-6 years in a center-based setting, with a focus on autism.
• Craft interventions aimed at improving gross motor, fine motor skills, feeding practices, and daily living activities tailored to the needs of children with autism.
• Work closely with families to develop individualized therapy plans, setting ambitious goals that empower children to reach their full potential.
• Mentor and guide a team of Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to integrate OT goals into their therapy, enhancing their approach to autism care.
• Monitor the progress of clients, update treatment plans and goals, and communicate necessary adjustments to team members and families.

Requirements:

• A degree in Occupational Therapy with a focus on pediatrics or a similar field.
• Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• Experience in working with children with autism or related developmental disorders.
• Strong understanding of and commitment to early intervention and integrated care approaches.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a passion for supporting the growth and development of children with autism.
