Estimator Job SummaryThe estimator at Business Resources One is a forward-thinking professional who owns the estimating process. This role requires producing timely and accurate estimates for the installation, maintenance, and snow divisions. The estimator must have a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, logical cause and effect thinking, and ability to create and follow processes.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret drawings and specifications, preparing estimates accordingly.
- Prepare proposal, drawings, and supporting documentation for sales associates.
- Set up jobs in Aspire for proper tracking and billing.
- Participate in transition meetings to transition sold jobs to production.
- Communicate with sales and production teams to ensure efficient completion of jobs.
- Maintain estimating system and related components.
- Develop and document estimating SOPs to ensure accurate and timely estimating.
Requirements
- Two- or four-year degree in landscape, horticulture, construction, or a related field.
- Two years' experience as an estimator in the landscape, horticulture, construction, or related industry.
- Working knowledge of construction practices used in landscape design/build/maintenance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products, including Word and Excel.
