Activity Coordinator

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Activity Specialist to join our team at New York Junior Tennis League, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging activities for our students, promoting their academic and social growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement weekly activity lesson plans in your area of specialty
• Supervise participants while maintaining order and ensuring their safety
• Facilitate purposeful activities that foster the development of new skills in children
• Partner with Group Leaders to develop professionally and eventually become Activity Specialists themselves
• Complete 15 hours of professional development each calendar year

Requirements:

• High school diploma required; associate degree preferred
• 2+ years experience working with elementary or middle school-aged children
• Demonstrated expertise in one or more specific domains or skills suitable to share with our participants
• Exceptional group management, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills

What We Offer:

Competitive hourly rate of $20.50 - 23.50 per hour, Monday - Friday, 2:00pm - 6:00pm, during the school year and some school holidays.
