Overview
Purpose: The Product Development Professional will design and plan layout for activities such as machining, metal forming, plastics processing, welding and brazing, assembly, and materials handling. Key Responsibilities:
- Designs arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout.
- Adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.
- Designs sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.

Responsibilities
The Product Development Professional may be responsible for inspecting performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigating and initiating corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality. Additionally, this role will comply with company programs, procedures, and applicable quality system regulations and standards. Technical expertise and knowledge of Medtronic's standard engineering approaches, design concepts, and specification requirements are also essential for best utilizing equipment and manufacturing techniques.

Qualifications
An ideal candidate will have a Bachelor Degree in Engineering and experience in equipment validation, FDA compliance, statistical analysis, and project management. Strong technical skills, including knowledge of CAD software, are also necessary for success in this role.
