Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Bishop Grille Server to join our team. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for serving guests in a hospitable manner to ensure a positive guest experience. Your duties will include:
- Hospitably greeting, preparing, and serving drinks to guests according to HEI Hotels and Resorts beverage service standards.
- Abiding by all State, Federal, and Corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages.
- Preparing the station for readiness prior to opening and closing of each shift.
- Following all cash handling and bank operating procedures as outlined by HEI Hotels and Resorts.
- Performing all side work duties according to side work schedules.
- Complying with attendance rules and being available to work on a regular basis.
- Working in the M Club as needed, making reservations and arrangements for events, transportation, local attractions, restaurants, etc., and tours as requested.
- Procuring services, providing information, and reserving services and/or using bonded babysitters, reputable athletic clubs, etc.
- Complying with unit and brand procedures and standards for check-ins, check-outs, cash handling, etc.
- Assisting guests with other requested services (e.g., mail, faxes, etc.).
- Providing information to guests about local areas, hotel facilities, and services.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, customers, and patrons.
- Hotel experience preferred.
- Ability to use point of service computer.
- Full knowledge of state liquor laws.
- Ability to transport large trays weighing up to 30lbs through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout shift with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Prolonged periods of standing and/or walking with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Some exposure to cleaning chemicals.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
