Appliance Service Technician Job Description

At GE Appliances, we're looking for a skilled Appliance Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our service team, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the highest level of satisfaction with our products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct in-home appliance repairs and maintenance to protect, repair, and replace appliances.
  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive experience for our customers.
  • Operate assigned service van to repair locations and manage maintenance and stock inventory.
  • Attend trainings, meetings, and other events to expand and remain a knowledgeable expert in the repair industry.
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through the deliverance of high-quality service.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • 1+ years of experience with appliance repair, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, or property maintenance
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule with some Saturdays as needed
  • Valid state driver's license and successful completion of background check, physical, and drug screen
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 6+ months of experience with Refrigeration repair
  • CFC Certified
  • Certification in appliance repair or Associates' degree
