Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Work from drawings, layouts, and sketches. Plan and lay out work, determine and select materials and gauges of metals. Lay out sheets or structural materials to very close tolerances to secure desired length or form. Set up and operate various types of metalworking equipment, such as: Mechanical Shear, CNC Press Brakes, CNC Hydraulic Saw, CNC Dual head saw, CNC punch Press, Power rolling equipment and various other machinery, necessary in the fabrication of Sheet metal parts and welded assemblies. Make complex setups of special machines, adjust strokes and safety devices and check for proper operation. Detect faulty materials, call attention to excessive or recurring defects and notify supervision of unusual equipment and operating problems. Perform other related duties as assigned. Education, Skills, and Work Experience:A minimum of a High school diploma or equivalent is required. Certified Sheet Metal Journeyman Knowledge of hand working procedures in the fabrication of Sheet metal parts Knowledge of welding procedures (Stick, Mig, Tig and Spot welding). Able to follow bill of operations and respective instructions. Able to make economical use of materials. Use hand tools, precision measuring instruments (such as steel rules ,digital or dial calipers, micrometers and protractors), gauges, jigs, fixtures, and forming tools. Benefits of Employment
