**This is a remote position, however, some training may need to take place at our office, so we are only accepting applications within driving distance of Crown Point, IN**

Besides posting cash, the candidate may be required to be on the dialer collecting money from patients.

General Summary :

Experienced healthcare Accounts Receivable Poster for both hospital and physician billing.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1) Process payment files. Run posting reports and balances to client's totals

2) Analytical, clerical, and computer skills to review HFM and client software systems and computerized reports.

3) Responsible for client reconciliations

4) Month end close process

5) Follows all HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) rules and regulations.

6) Confers with management on discrepancies within accounts

7) Interacts courteously and compassionately with other associates

8) Communications with patients, visitors and clients are friendly and professional.

9) Maintains a professional appearance

10) Projects a positive image in the community

11) Other duties as assigned

Requirements

1) Requires extensive knowledge of EDI, ERA(835), EOB, claim processing systems and clearing house such as Availity required and EMR such as Epic.

2) Analytical, clerical, and computer skills to review HFM and client software systems and computerized reports to determine balances.

3) Computer skills equivalent to work multiple systems simultaneously.

KNOWLEDGE, PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE AND LICENSURE/REGISTRATION REQUIRED:

1) The level of knowledge equivalent to completion of high school or GED.

2) An understanding of client systems, and the ability to enter data accurately.

3) Knowledge of HIPAA rules and regulations and the ability to apply these regulations on a daily basis.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

1) Normal sedentary office environment
