We are looking for a host / hostess to be part of our Front of the House team

Main Purpose of the Job

As a host / hostess you should know and show that first impressions are everything. A host / hostess provides a warm and friendly welcome when our guests arrive or call in with questions. As a host, you'll greet guests at the door, determine where they'd like to sit and guide them to their table while making casual conversation. When we're on a wait, you'll quote an accurate wait time and encourage guests to browse our iconic decor. You will be an integral member of the team that creates distinctively different and authentic experiences for our guests. You will be responsible for greeting and seating guests, overseeing dining room maintenance and monitoring service to ensure guest satisfaction.

Position Requirements

•1 year experience in the food and beverage, culinary, hospitality or related professional area
•At least 6 months experience as a host / hostess in upscale or fine dining serving experience
•High school diploma or equivalent.
•The host / hostess is committed to safe food handling, cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards during the shift and use equipment properly
•Licenses/Certifications: Food Safety Certification

Primary Duties

•Exceed customer expectations by providing friendly, prompt, and attentive service
•Follow the steps of service of the hostess position
•Welcome and greet customers upon arrival, and thank customers as they are leaving
•Assist with maintaining service areas - stocking and cleanliness
•Provide a warm and friendly welcome when our guests arrive or call in with questions
•Greet guests at the door, determine where they'd like to sit and guide them to their table while making casual conversation
•Making reservations, greeting guests as they come in the door, and making them feel welcome as they are seated will be all you
•We rely on our Hosts/Hostesses to keep our restaurant running smoothly and ensuring that guests feel that they are always welcome to have a seat at our table
