SOLARCYCLE is adding a strategic sales and business development professional to our growing Materials Sales team. Reporting to the Materials Sales Director, the Materials Sales Manager will partner with our operations, logistics, factory, and sales teams to ensure that SOLARCYCLE is extracting maximum value from our recycled and value-added materials, as well as our second-life solar panels, through selling these materials back into the supply chains. This role is not focused on selling solar panels or our recycling services.

Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver industry-leading material sales strategies in coordination with the Materials Sales Director and larger sales & marketing teams.
Maintain and grow relationships with our existing customer base while consistently seeking new customers to add to our portfolio.
Assess and qualify potential commodity buyers to ensure key sales/profitability metrics can be achieved.
Lead presentations to internal and external stakeholders to close deals.
Maintain HubSpot CRM for materials sales team.
Partner with operations, engineering, and R&D to assess and implement all opportunities to increase profitability in recycling outputs.
Engage with the internal logistics and customer operations team to ensure that requirements are being met when sending or receiving shipments.
Work closely with the internal sales team on projects where reuse or manufacturing scrap may play a critical role.
Establish domestic reuse outlets for solar panels that are still producing power.
Attend trade shows and industry events, as well as customer sites and company events.
Requirements:

At least five years of experience in business-to-business sales/business development in materials, commodities, manufacturing, or value-added-sales, with a preference in aluminum/metals sales.
Working to advanced CRM knowledge, HubSpot preferred.
Demonstrated ability to negotiate, present, and close deals.
Comfortable with creating and delivering presentations to leadership, customers, and industry partners.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Distinguishing Characteristics:

Previous experience working with aluminum manufacturers, fabricators, and/or recyclers, or in glass manufacturing.
Familiarity in mining operations, or experience into/from mining operations.
Self-motivated, great in building/maintaining relationships, and high attention to detail.
The preferred location for this role is in our Mesa, AZ headquarters with remote/hybrid options as well. Regular travel to other SOLARCYCLE sites and customer locations is expected.
