POSITION SUMMARY:
The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for the business office, payroll, accounting, credit/collections, purchasing, medical records, and pharmacy. Provides financial direction and analysis of hospital activities to ensure financial stability of the hospital. Responsible for the hospital in the absence of the administrator.
MINIMUM OF QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Master's degree, preferably in health care administration and/or MBA.Experience: Minimum of three (3) years in financial management/administration with an acute hospital. Extensive hands-on experience in computer applications and technology.Job Knowledge: Knowledgeable of federal and state regulations that impact on the overall financial condition of the facility.Skills: Ability to utilize financial software programs for purposes of financial application. Ability to analyze managed care contracts. Ability to supervise key department staff, work to implement as a team, following the broad goals of the mission statement of the hospital. Ability to work independently under the policies established by the board of directors and general direction of the administrator.
