A recognized services company is currently seeking an experienced Attorney to join their growing Legal Department's Contracting team. In this role, the Attorney will be responsible for supporting and working collaboratively with the General & Administrative (G&A) departments across the organization, with a focus on IT, privacy, and Information Security-related matters.
Responsibilities: Draft, revise, negotiate, and manage a wide range of contractsAdvise and troubleshoot existing agreementsIdentify risks and be able to communicate those risks to appropriate internal decision-makers for discussion and resolutionAct as a liaison with various internal clients effectively to address legal and business questionsEnsure contracts accurately convey business terms while protecting the company's interestsAdvise the Contracts Managers on complex negotiationsEnsure continuity and improvement in the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of contracting systems, processes, and proceduresSupport the ongoing development of templates and playbooks in your area of support in collaboration with other Legal Department team membersPerform other duties, as neededQualifications: Bachelor's DegreeJuris DoctorateAdmission to a State BarMicrosoft Office proficientPossesses executive presence and ability to interact comfortably with executives and senior management, clear and concise verbal and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal & communication skillsAbility to develop creative technical and/or business solutions for complex problems and implement organizational or team objectivesMust be efficient, detail-oriented, and have strong organizational skillsAbility to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and with the ability to re-prioritize on short time framesDesired Skills: 5+ years of Transactional experience as an Attorney in a Law firm or In-House Legal environment focusing on IT-related agreementsBachelor's Degree in a Life Sciences-relatedAdmission to the California Bar
