**Medication Technician**

We are seeking a dedicated Medication Technician to join our team. This role involves assisting with self-administration of medications to patients following state regulations and patient policies. You will provide personalized care, uphold patient rights, and maintain confidentiality.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Assist with self-administration of medications following the "six rights" of medication administration.

- Document accurately on the Medication Administration Record (MAR).

- Maintain an organized medication cart/cabinet.

- Ensure patient safety and confidentiality.

- Report any adverse reactions or medication errors promptly.

**Qualifications:**

- Experience with rehabilitating drug and/or alcohol adults preferred.

- Ability to read, write, and speak English.

- Friendly, caring disposition with integrity.

- Required medication, First Aid, and CPR training.

- Valid Driver's License and ability to operate a 15-passenger van.

- Must pass a pre-employment drug test and obtain a Fingerprint Clearance Card.

**Physical Requirements:**

- Ability to stand/walk for up to six hours and lift/carry up to 15 pounds.

- Frequently kneel, bend, and reach.

- Assist with patient transfers using proper body mechanics.

**Work Environment:**

- Subject to frequent interruptions and exposure to infectious diseases.

- May need to work beyond regular hours, including weekends and emergencies.

- Must handle residents' varying maturity levels with patience and tact.
