*** Candidates for this role may be eligible for a sign on bonus up to $15,000.00*** Location: This position will be working at the Boston and Norwood locations.
The Radiographer will be responsible for: Reviews and evaluates requisitions for Diagnostic imaging procedures, abstracting data from patient charts and determining appropriateness of procedure prescribed given diagnosis and clinical signs for routine examinations. Selects appropriate equipment and technical factors to identify pathologic and normal anatomy. Assesses patients' and parents' physical and emotional status and ability to respond to instructions and develop a care plan for that patients' specific needs. Explain the examination and is able to answer questions from patient and parents regarding the exam and Radiation exposure, practices ALARA. Follows Departmental QC/Data Integrity Workflow. Practices High Reliability Training. Responds to the uniqueness of the patient, creating a supportive environment for the patient and the family. Identifies and reports equipment malfunctions through the INeedit application. Assists in organizing and maintaining daily operations. Participates in departmental and hospital meetings. Completes all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner. Complies with ETU and HIPAA regulations. Performing radiology procedures in a busy pediatric Radiology department. Assuring quality results and communicating the relevance of the results to other health care professionals. To qualify, you must have: An Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology is required. MA Radiographer license and ARRT certification is required.
